Atlanta’s Turner Field has seen its fair share of heroics over the years, but the baseball park played host last week to a very different sort of Lily Anderson, a 10-year-old Georgia with stage 4 neuroblastoma, sang the national anthem before the July 28 Braves games.
And Lily knocked it out of the park. The crowd responded with a lengthy and heartfelt standing ovation.
The girl is active with the Rally Foundation, which raises money for childhood cancer research.
